Throughout early May 2009 a series of four pontoons sections are being towed approximately 80 nautical miles by tugboat from Hood Canal in Washington State to Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Bay. It will take approximately 40 hours to relocate each pontoon section. The schedule for the pontoon relocation is:

Once the pontoons arrive in Cowichan Bay they will be refurbished at the Western Stevedoring Cowichan Bay dock, formerly Westcan Terminal.
